بدأت المبادرة المدنية للحفاظ على الدستور في السابع من أيلول في بغداد والمحافظات بعد مضي ستة أشهر على تأخر تشكيل الحكومة ، وبعد أستصحال الموافقات الرسمية للدخول إلى حديقة مجلس النواب ، حيث موقع فعالية المبادرة ، فوجئنا بمنع الجيش العراقي دخول أي شخص وأخراجهم إلى خارج المنطقة الخضراء بأسلوب غير أخلاقي ، وأستنكرت المبادرة هذا العمل الذي يدل على تقويض الديمقراطية وعرقلة مسيرتها وأكملت المبادرة المدنية أعتصامها خارج المنطقة الخضراء ، أما الجدران الكونكريتية ، ومرة أخرى يأتي الجيش لمضايقة بعض المصورين للفعالية ، والمنظمين ليسكتوا صوت منظمات المجتمع المدني والنقابات ، صوت الشعب العراقي لينقلوهم من مكان إلى آخر ، علما ً أن الحضور كان كبيرا ً حيث تم أفتتاح الأعتصام بانشودة موطني ومن ثم قراءة بيان التجمع وبيان حملة المساندة القضائية المرفوعة من قبل المجتمع المدني ضد رئيس البرلمان بالسن ، تلاها كلمة نقابة المحامين ، نقابة المعلمين ، نقابة المهن الصحية ، منظمات المجتمع المدني غير الحكومية في أقليم كوردستان ، أتحاد الحقوقيين ، شبكة النساء العراقيات ، أتحاد الآدباء والكتاب في العراق ، أتحاد نقابات العمال ، تجمع معوقي العراق ، نقابة المهندسيين الزراعيين ، منظمات شبابية ، الجمعية العراقية لحقوق الإنسان ، وكلمة الأكاديمين العراقيين.
