Background Information •

In June 2004, I took part in Conflict Resolution program for full year (2004 – 2005) organised by Iraqi Al-Amal Association. The programme included training on non-violence, peace building, human rights concepts, team and personality building, project management, English language and computer training. We have committed ourselves to take the knowledge from the projects back to our schools and society to run projects by ourselves. •

 I participated in training course for two months on theatre in 2005. •

 After that, I work as volunteer in Al-Amal Association. I had the responsibility to follow up the students in the second year and third year program of the Conflict Resolution among Teenage Students in 2005-2007.

 I have trained on archive, documenting activities of Iraqi civil society organization published in newspaper. •

Training Course for the Iraqi Professionals and Workers with Children Affected by Conflict Organised by Muslim Hands organization and Jordan River Foundation. July 28Th – August 5th 2006. Jordan – Amman. •

From September to November 2006 I participated in a group of Al-Amal organised five study events in two Intermediate schools in Baghdad on “the protection of children from harm and the effect of trauma”. 161 Girls and boys participated in the study. •

 Seminar on conflict resolution and peace building to achieve democracy organised by culture for all organization, Baghdad 2006. •

 T.O.T Workshop on conflict Resolution and Group Facilitating organised by Lebanese conflict resolution network (LCRN) In Beirut, April 2007. •

 I participated in the two conferences of Civil Dialogue among Young People organised by Al-Amal in Sulaymania in September 2006 and in Shiqlawa in violence, tolerance, citizenship, human rights education, human security and May 2007. The two conferences focussed on different topics, including non-with young people specific problems in education, training and employment. Many young people from all parts of Iraq participated in these two events. I participated with a group in presenting a paper to the first conference on young people problems in education. •

As volunteer in Al-Amal, I participated during July and August 2007 in six workshops lasted for 12 days for university students and attended by 20 participants in each one, boys and girls. Also, I had the logistic responsibility of these workshops and some time I was trainer on conflict resolution subject. •
